Actor Song Kang—who turned heads in the K-dramas Love Alarm, Sweet Home and Nevertheless—is considered one of the most handsome actors in South Korea. His finely carved cheekbones, full lips, and ski-jump nose have set many hearts aflutter.
Since he gets to look at himself in the mirror every day, you’d think that seeing a good-looking guy wouldn’t faze him anymore. But when Song Kang ran into a certain K-Pop superstar back in the day, he couldn’t help being awestruck by the latter’s visuals.
When he was still pursuing a film degree at Konkuk University, the same college BTS’s Jin went to, Song Kang once encountered the “Moon” singer in the halls.
“I saw him once at school,” the Navillera star said in a previous interview. “One day, I saw a man approaching, and I thought he was so good-looking. I asked my classmate who he was and found out that he was Jin. I ended up thinking, ‘Do I have to be as handsome as him so I can make my debut as an entertainer?’”
Song Kang is handsome, but Jin is definitely in a league of his own. After all, he’s not known as “Worldwide Handsome” for nothing. But Song Kang still managed to make his TV debut in a 2017 romantic comedy called The Liar and His Lover.
Since then, he was nominated for the Male Rookie Award at the 12th SBS Entertainment Awards. Nevertheless, in which he stars opposite actress Han So Hee, is Song Kang’s latest project.
He’s confirmed to star in another JTBC drama, People at Meteorological Service (direct translation), alongside Park Min Young.
