The Boyz recently made a comeback with their sixth EP Thrill-ing, which has six tracks, including the lead single “Thrill Ride.”

Aside from the music, their fans went wild when they noticed the great new hairdo The Boyz dancer and vocalist Juhaknyeon was sporting in the concept photos and music video. He bleached his hair five times and dyed it silver, then put in different colored highlights.

The B love how pretty Juhaknyeon’s hair looks. Some even compared his new ‘do to cotton candy, because of how fluffy and light it looks. This is a style the idol has wanted to try for a long time. In a reply to a fan back in 2019, he opened up about wanting silver hair.

He reiterated his love for the color in a recent behind-the-scenes video. Juhaknyeon revealed that he wanted to dye his hair silver ever since he went blond for their song “Giddy Up” in 2018. However, he warned people to think very carefully before they do the same thing, because bleaching one’s hair repeatedly hurts a lot. In fact, when his members asked about his hair, Juhaknyeon said, “I love it, but it wasn’t easy to get this color.”

Oh well. At least the pain he put himself through with the bleach turned out to be worth it, because his new ‘do looks really good on him!

Meanwhile, Thrill-ing sold over 520,000 copies in the week after release. Their previous mini album Chase, which dropped in September 2020, sold about 200,000 copies. That means their sixth EP sold over twice as many copies as their fifth, which is quite the improvement!

Their latest single “Thrill Ride” soared to No. 1 on Bugs, No. 8 on Melon, No. 2 on Vibes, and No. 10 on YouTube Music. It also topped the iTunes Album Song Chart in 16 countries, and made the top 10 in 36 countries.

It seems Juhaknyeon’s hair is The Boyz’s lucky charm. Perhaps he should stick with it for their next comeback!
