On September 1, industry insiders revealed that Sooyoung will play the female lead in the upcoming drama Tell Me Your Wish. In response to the reports, the actress's agency, Saram Entertainment, stated that she did receive a casting offer for Tell Me Your Wish and is currently reviewing it.

Tell Me Your Wish is a film about people who want to "die well." The drama will tell the stories about the salvation that occurs in the hospice ward as well as the rescue of "adult children" who have fallen into chaos together.

Sooyoung was cast as Seo Yeon Joo, a vitality icon and health-obsessed nurse. Ji Chang Wook was previously revealed in July to be in talks to play the male lead Yoon Gye Re, a man fleeing death.

Kim Yong Wan, who directed The Cursed, will direct Tell Me Your Wish. The programming is being finalized, and the drama will be shot in the second half of the year.
