Following IZ*ONE’s disbandment last April, Kang Hyewon took some time to plan her next move. After appearing in magazines and starting her own YouTube channel, she’s poised to pursue acting with a featured role in Best Mistake 3.

In a statement, her agency 8D Creative asked the public to support her. “Kang Hyewon was recently cast in the web drama Best Mistake 3. It will be her first real acting project. As she is working her hardest to improve her skills and show real growth, please show her a lot of love and interest as she takes on this new challenge.”

The third season of the wildly popular web drama starring Lee Eun Jae and Kang Yul will follow their characters Kim Yeon Doo and Ji Hyun Joo as they leave high school and prepare to enter the real world. It will take place in a college setting, showing young people dealing with many things, such as growth and romance.

CIX’s Hyunsuk will also join the cast as the bright and sociable Kim Dae Young, while DAY6’s Wonpil is in talks to play his childhood friend Do Ye Seok. Ye Seok is handsome, intelligent, and has a winning personality. He seems strong on the outside, but he actually has a lot of problems on his plate. His complicated life takes a turn for the better when he becomes entangled with Yeon Doo.

Hye Won will reportedly play Jin Se Hee, a business student with beauty and brains. She also happens to be Do Ye Seok’s ex-girlfriend, who broke up with him due to her financial situation. Se Hee ends up regretting her decision, so she asks Hyun Joo to help her win Ye Seok back.

Best Mistake 3 will reportedly begin script reading in late August, start filming in early September, and premiere later this year.
