Kim Jongkook Keeps His Promise of Donating His YouTube Earnings to Charity

He is indeed a man of his word. Congratulations!

Kim Jongkook has once again demonstrated that he is a tough man with a golden heart.

Kim Jongkook launched his own YouTube channel, GYM JONG KOOK, in June, and it was an instant success. After only two months and a handful of videos, the workout-focused channel had already made Forbes Korea's annual list of the 20 celebrity YouTube channels with the highest earnings over the previous year.

Last month, Kim Jongkook promised his subscribers that, because his channel achieved these incredible results with the help of many people, he believes it would be even more meaningful if all of this love and interest resulted in something good, so that the positive influence of everyone who loves exercise can shine even brighter. He intends to donate the entire income generated by his YouTube channel from this month's five videos, minus production costs.

Kim Jongkook revealed on September 8 that he had kept his promise by donating a total of 70 million won (approximately $59,944) to two hospitals. The singer gave 50 million won (about $42,817) to Seoul's Samsung Medical Center and 20 million won (about $17,127) to Hyewon Medical Foundation's Sejong General Hospital. His contributions will go toward the treatment of financially disadvantaged patients as well as young patients with heart problems.

Kim Jongkook began his announcement with an apology for being a little late, but he has made the donation that he promised to all of his fans last time. He is hoping that his donation will be used for a good cause, as he carefully considered where to donate.

It was especially meaningful because he made the donation with all of the fans' help and dedication. Finally, he wishes everyone a happy and healthy day. He expresses his heartfelt gratitude to all of the subscribers who participated in this good deed once more.
