Try Korea's hangover remedy Haejangguk

There's nothing like this hot, hydrating soup to make you bid your hangover blues goodbye!

After a heavy night of drinking, different parts of the world have their own tried and tested remedies for the impending hangover. Colombia has their Changua, Canada has the Bloody Caesar, a play on the Bloody Mary, while Hawaii boasts of their Loco moco.

Drinking is such a huge part of Korean culture that it is not surprising at all that they have an entry in hangover cures. Meet Haejangguk, Korea's famous hangover soup.

Haejangguk is a hearty soup made of beef broth, a soybean paste called doenjang, gochugaru, soy sauce, and fresh ingredients such as bean sprouts, zucchini, garlic, and pepper. This is a stew that is rich in protein and comforting, perfect for rehydrating and replenishing your system after a drinking session.
