President Moon Jae-in arrived in New York to attend UN assembly

President Moon was set to make a speech at the 76th session of the U.N. General Assembly. He is expected to be at an opening ceremony on the Sustainable Development Goals Moment event tonight (Monday, Korean Time). 

This is President Moon's 5th consecutive year to participate in the said assembly but this time he is joined by Hallyu stars - BTS, who were selected as ambassadors to the world youth in promoting encouragement and hope.

Before he departed for the United States last Sunday, he left a video message to all the Koreans who are celebrating Chuseok, one of the biggest traditional holidays in the country.

The president will also attend bilateral summit talks with leaders from different countries: Britain, Slovenia Vietnam, and Pfizer CEO, Albert Bourla. According to the President's aid in a previous interview, he will not be meeting U.S. President Joe Biden.

After this series of talks, Moon will fly to Hawaii to grace a ceremony for the transfer of the remains of the South Korean and American soldiers who were killed during the Korean War.
