Why is the Tagger Doll in Squid Game wrapped in plastic?

Netizens wondered what happened to the doll's right hand after it was unveiled at Jincheon Museum.

The tagger doll, which was popularized in the Netflix drama 'Squid Game,' reappeared in Jincheon, North Chungcheong Province, but was once again covered in plastic.

According to Jincheon-gun, North Chungcheong Province, on the 30th, this carriage museum doll was changed to private on the 27th. The doll is shrouded in camouflage film and is presently being relocated and stored beside heavy equipment.

For roughly ten days following the drama's premiere on the 17th, the museum has started distributing the dolls to the public without prior notice. Previously, it was known that the doll creator left the doll to the Jincheon Wagon Museum, with which he was acquainted.

Since then, photographs and articles claiming that museum visitors spotted a doll in the 'Squid Game' have propagated across internet groups, attracting a lot of interest.

The museum side was concerned about overwhelming attention and chose to remove the tagger doll; however, the right hand was broken in the process, and the location of the right hand has become a hot subject in the internet community.

“Where is the doll's hand?” said one netizen. There are comments such as, "It seems like Lee Byung-hun is wearing it." Lee Byung-hun, who starred in the drama, had previously worn a doll's wrist as a prosthesis in the film 'Inside Men' in order to perform without his right hand.

During the game, the tagger doll says, 'Mugunghwa has blossomed,' and then rotates its neck 180 degrees to detect the movements of the game participants. If they move even slightly at this moment, they will shoot a gun and murder the participant. It has motion sensors in its eyes and a neck rotation of 180 degrees.
