Miyawaki Sakura Leaves Japanese Agency

She is rumored to debut under Source Music, which is under HYBE.

The contract between Miyawaki Sakura and her Japanese management firm has come to an end.

Her agency, Vernalossom, revealed the news on their official website on November 1. “We appreciate everyone who has always supported Miyawaki Sakura,” they said. The management agreement between Miyawaki Sakura and Vernalossom Co., Ltd. has come to an end. The company's employees would want to express their gratitude to the people who are rooting for her. Miyawaki Sakura made her debut in Japan in 2011 as a member of HKT48. She debuted as a member of project group IZ*ONE in 2018 after placing second on Mnet's "Produce 48" and was promoted with the group until their disbandment. In June, she graduated from her long-running group HKT48.

Following the disbandment of IZ*ONE, it was rumored in March that Miyawaki Sakura will join a new female group at HYBE. “Nothing has been determined [about this matter],” Big Hit said in reaction to the news. Then, in August, it was rumored that she would be joining Source Music, a division of HYBE Labels, but a HYBE source stated that the claim could not be confirmed.
