After 2 Years, Jamsil Station is Filled With Cheering Fans

Many spectators came to the baseball field to cheer for the first wild card match between the Doosan Bears and the Kiwoom Heroes.

The Jamsil Baseball Stadium, which inaugurated the professional baseball post-season (PS) on the 1st, is now slowly becoming lively after it opened its doors for baseball fans and some rules were implemented due to the corona pandemic. At that time, The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) used all seats as a vaccination area.

All seats at the baseball field is now accessible to fans for the first time in two years and one month, since the Korean Series in October 2019.

The first game of the wild card decision between Doosan and Kiwoom was attended by 12,422 people (23,800 10,000 spectators) on the 1st. Approximately 13,000 tickets were pre-ordered, however, 600 were canceled. People who have not been vaccinated have canceled their bookings.

Quarantine officials continue to forbid nurturing assistance in order to prevent droplet infection. However, as the contest progressed with two equalizations and three rematches, the audience exploded in applause. After 10 p.m., the amp with cheering songs is switched off at Jamsil Stadium for the benefit of the residents in the area. The game finished at 10:40 p.m.

"Even if you are wearing a mask, shouting or giving slogans will cause a lot of saliva to be emitted and become stronger, so the mask will not have the effect of being completely blocked," Son Young-Rae, head of the Social Strategy Division at the Central Accident Resolving Headquarters, said on the 2nd.
