On Miyawaki Sakura's ex-agency, Japan's Vernalossom Co., Ltd.

Read on to learn more about her roots as an idol.

IZ*ONE alum Miyawaki Sakura has closed the book on another chapter of her career. As of November 1, Sakura officially parted ways with her longtime Japanese agency, Vernalossom Co., Ltd.

Formerly known as AKS Co., Ltd., Vernalossom is a talent agency whose headquarters are located in Tokyo, Japan. It’s involved in many activities related to the entertainment industry, like film, merchandise, and music production. Aside from managing IZ*ONE’s Japanese activities, it used to manage the idol groups AKB48, HKT48, NGT48, and SKE48.

A few days ago, Vernalossom confirmed via a statement on their official website that their exclusive contract with Sakura has expired. However, former IZ*ONE members Honda Hitomi and Yabuki Nako are still signed to Vernalossom.

Sakura returned to South Korea back in August, after graduating from HKT48. It’s believed that she’s preparing to debut in a new K-Pop group under HYBE Labels, alongside fellow IZ*ONE alum Kim Chaewon.
