Fewer Viewers for TV Chosun As Popular Sitcom Ended

Apparently, the viewers were disappointed when Mulberry school had its final episode last October.

Viewers in their 60s and beyond are fleeing TV Chosun after the popular program 'Mulberry School' ended. 'Mulberry School' is a television sitcom that follows the development of 'Trotman F4' from TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot' through a variety of situations. On October 27th, ‘Mulberry School' came to an end.

Following the cancellation of 'Mulberry School,' Thriller entertainment was scheduled in the same time slot. On November 3rd, 'Crazy Love X,' presented by Shin Dong-yup, Oh Eun-young, and Son Su-ho, aired. This show is a romantic thriller that dramatizes crimes and murders that occurs between lovers or a romantic connection in order to determine the perpetrator with the use of psychology.

When compared to the last episode of 'Mulberry School,' which aired on October 27 a week ago, the ratings were half as high. The ratings for the first broadcast of 'Crazy Love X' were 2.7 percent based on paying households, 1.8 percent lower than the ratings for the last episode of 'Mulberry School,' according to TNMS, a rating organization. The last episode of 'Mulberry School' received a 4.5 percent rating according to TNMS criteria.

With the exception of minors, all age groups saw a reduction in viewership, with those in their 60s and beyond seeing the most churn.

According to Nielsen Korea, the last episode of 'Mulberry School' got a 6.3 percent audience rating, while the first episode of 'Crazy Love X,' which aired on the 3rd, received a 3.2 percent audience rating. Nielsen Korea's ratings dropped by half, in addition to TNMS criteria.

Mulberry School received a 6-9 percent viewership rating when airing, according to Nielsen Korea criteria. Episode 45 had the highest audience rate of 11.6 percent.

The disparity in viewer ratings between TNMS and Nielsen Korea is well known to be related to differences in the number of sample households and sample characteristics.
