IZ*ONE's Wonyoung Confirmed to Join New Kpop Group

Following the disbandment of her group, she became an advocate for several companies, including Dior, Miu Miu, and Laura Mercier.

Jang Wonyoung of the defunct group IZ*ONE has joined the new female group 'Ive', according to Starship Entertainment, which announced the news late Thursday.

She is the third member to be named, following her former bandmate Ahn Yujin, and will go by her first name only, according to the new profile photographs.

In the commercial photos, she alternates between looking like a fresh-faced cute girl next door and a daring lass in theatrical makeup. She will be the lead vocalist for the six-piece band.

Jang has appeared in a number of beauty and fashion brand ads, and she co-hosts a music chart program on television with Enhyphen's Sunghoon. She will also co-host the 2021 Asia Artist Awards with Leeteuk of Super Junior next month.

To recall, IZ*ONE, a product of MNET's 'Produce 101,' announced their disbandment earlier this year after undertaking KPOP-related activities for two years.
