The Melon Music Awards (MMA) 2021 are now open for voting!

The Melon Music Awards unveiled the finalists for this year's award ceremony earlier this week, which will take place on December 4 at 6 p.m. KST. This year's awards were only open to musicians who released songs between November 11, 2020 and November 7, 2021.

Starting at 12 p.m. on November 8, Melon and KST have begun voting for the Top 10 awards, which will be given to ten artists based on their Melon download and streaming counts for the year and 20% on votes.

The Artist of the Year award will be decided on the basis of 60 percent Melon download and streaming counts, 20% judges' ratings, and 20% votes.

Melon also launched voting for nine more prizes, including Album of the Year and Best Song of the Year, all of which will be decided using the same 60-20-20 formula, with one exception: the Netizen Popularity Award will be decided using 40% Melon download and streaming counts and 60% votes.

Other awards not featured in the internet voting, such as Record of the Year, will be decided completely on the basis of the judges' assessments and Melon's performance.
