Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon are getting married and expecting a child together!

The two stars began dating in late 2017 and announced their romance to the world in March of the following year.

On November 23, their respective agencies, SALT Entertainment and Santa Claus Entertainment, revealed that Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon would tie the knot in a private ceremony on January 22, 2022 in Seoul, South Korea. Also reported by SALT Entertainment is that Park Shin Hye is expecting a child.

The two stars each sent messages on their own fan cafés to inform their followers of the news.

The following is an excerpt from Park Shin Hye's letter:

Hello. It's Park Shin Hye on the line. These days, the weather is becoming more chilly. I'm keen to know how everyone is doing in terms of health and well-being.

I was cleaning my house a few days ago when I came upon my contract with my first advertising agency from 20 years ago. While in the sixth year of elementary school, I decided to pursue a career in acting. I started in my second year of middle school. After hardly a blink of an eye, eighteen years had passed. I had the impression that time was flying by.

Many individuals were there for me throughout my youth, and it is because of all of your love and support that I have been able to develop into an actor who can portray a variety of characters in a variety of shows. Many times I was joyful in front of the camera, but anytime I was in a bad mood, it was my admirers who gave me immense strength and bravery to face the situation. Each and every one of your messages of support inspired me to get back up and face the camera again.

So I'm a little anxious about sharing this news with you today, and on the one hand, I'm concerned that you'll be taken by surprise by the suddenness of it all. But I wanted to share this news with you all first.

I'm getting married to the guy with whom I've been in a long-term relationship for a very long time. He has been a source of support for me for a long time, and he has accepted all of the flaws in the person that is Park Shin Hye, and I would like to establish a life with him as a pair.

And, though I am hesitant to announce anything at this point since it is so early in the process, I was blessed with a child. I wanted to tell you first, so that no one else would know. I'll show you a more positive side of myself once I establish a family of my own.

Thank you for being there for me when I needed it most with your love. It will take some time, but I will put forth my best effort to return to the screen as a brilliant actress as soon as possible so that you are not forced to wait too long. In the meanwhile, please keep yourself healthy, and I'll end my message here.

Choi Tae Joon sent the following letter to the editor:

Hello. Hello, my name is Choi Tae Joon.

Thanks to those of you who have been supporting me for a long time, I am able to live each day with a sense of appreciation.

I'm writing this article with a shaking heart because I want to share some exciting news with you that I don't want anybody else to know about. I've been in a serious relationship with someone for a long time, and we've experienced a variety of feelings with one another. She is like a godsend to me because she taught me how to express myself without using words when I was joyful and how to scream out loud when I was unhappy. In order to allow this love for which I am thankful to bear fruit, we would want to exchange our marriage vows.

Moreover, though I hesitate to admit it, we were blessed with a child while preparing for this new chapter in our life.

You may have been taken aback by the abrupt announcement, but I wanted to inform you before informing anybody else, thus I am sending my deep thoughts to you through my sloppy written work.

Now, as a member of a family, I will demonstrate my responsibilities to you, and as an actor, Choi Tae Joon, I will greet you with performance that matches your standards of excellence.
