"RUMINATION," the group's tenth mini album, was officially released on November 22 during a presentation in Seoul.
The release of "RUMINATION" marked SF9's return to the music scene four months following the release of "Turn Over" in July. While the title tune, "Trauma," features a powerful bass sound and dreamy vocals to express a variety of emotions, it's the choreography that really stands out, with sensual and "homme fatal" feelings and an SF9-scale performance.
Rowoon is now filming the KBS historical drama "The King's Affection" while also prepping for the return of SF9. "There have been a number of occasions when we have been working on an album while I was filming a drama," he explained. You might say I've gotten the hang of it. I've become accustomed to it. There were no major issues to contend with. The only thing I regret is that I was not happy with my performance since I did not have enough time to rehearse before the performance. As a result of the consideration shown to me by the agency and its members, I had no serious obstacles."
"We wanted to put out a nice record," Hwiyoung explained. Because it has been a long time since we have had the opportunity to meet our fans in person, our appreciation and yearning for them has grown even stronger. Creating an excellent record that reflects those thoughts seemed like the most effective method to express them, therefore we all contributed to the album's development. The CD consists of a large number of excellent tracks that you should take the time to listen to."
"On And On," a duet between SF9's eldest members Youngbin and Inseong, is one of the tracks on the album. Youngbin contributed to the lyrics, which are about wishing for the day when you would be able to grasp someone's hand again after a brief separation from them. When asked about his ambitions to join the military in the future, Youngbin responded, "We will do our best at the tasks we are assigned." There hasn't been any definitive decision made yet. We shall take care of our duties as soon as it is verified."
Zuho was forced to sit down during SF9's performance owing to a rib injury. His statement read, "I was working really hard to provide a positive picture when I was hurt." Currently, I'm receiving excellent care. "I have a really wonderful scene in this performance when the nine of us are all back on stage together again, but I was unable to show it today due to scheduling conflicts."
The CD also features a fan song, named "For Fantasy," that was written with the assistance of all of the band members. (SF9's fandom is referred to as Fantasy.) "I've been working on the song for the past three years," Zuho revealed. It is about being grateful for the opportunity to live today. In English, the Korean title of the song translates as 'Because It Is Today.' I recommended that all of the members contribute to the writing of the lyrics because everyone had something they wanted to communicate. I believe that the song turned out great since all of the members put in a lot of effort into it. I believe the heartfelt words that we were too embarrassed to express ourselves out loud would be appreciated by our followers."
When asked about their objectives for this album, Jaeyoon stated, "While it is crucial for us to sell a large number of records, it is even more vital for us to meet fans when we perform promotions." We don't think about it in terms of keeping track of things. "Our primary goal is to interact with as many of our supporters as possible." "Since the situation is improving a little, I believe that our greatest outcome would be if we could meet as many of our fans as possible as soon as possible," Zuho said.
