Mom-dols Unite in Search of the Best Idol Moms in New tvN Reality Show

This will be fun as a new group will be formed out of these aspiring mom-dols.

Television network tvN will premiere a new variety show featuring senior idols who will be making their long-awaited comeback to the stage!

"Mama the Idol" will feature the comeback of great stars who also happen to be moms on the big screen. It is expected that they would make a reappearance as glowing heroes after spending some time off to give birth and raise their children. Girl group members and actresses who were previously active as girl group members or actresses will be recruited to form a new girl group and get training.

Sunye of the Wonder Girls and Kahi of After School are shown reverting to their former selves in the first teaser for the next series. Participating in this initiative was not an easy decision for Sunye and Kahi, since both reside in different countries with their families.

"It had been ten years since I got married and spent my time focused on my family," Sunye explains. "There are times when I feel a craving for the stage," Park Jung Ah confesses. While Kahi says that this is likely her final opportunity to perform on stage, Park Jung Ah agrees that she would want to be perceived as an idol rather than a mother when she is on stage.

At the conclusion, they each state how long it had been since they last appeared on stage. It is Kahi's first performance in 3464 days, Park Jung Ah's first time on stage in 4353 days, and Sunye's first performance in 3231 days. It is also Park Jung Ah's first time on stage in 4353 days.

Hong Jin Kyung, Do Kyung Wan, Lee Chan Won, and WOODZ (Cho Seung Youn) will all make cameo appearances as extras to assist in bringing these icons back to life on the big screen again. They are ready to hunt for producers, serve as their managers, and do a variety of other things.

"I am grateful to Kahi, Park Jung Ah, and Sunye for making the choice to come on the show," Min Chul Gi, the show's PD (production director), said. I hope that everyone enjoys this tribute to the good old days and the epic stages by these performers, who are still as brilliant as they were when they were at the height of their powers. Thank you for taking an active interest in the new task that these celebrities, who were stars before they became mothers, have taken on."

The first episode of "Mama the Idol" will air on December 10 at 8:40 p.m. KST.
