Byun Woo Seok and his Acting Ambitions

It is almost a crime not to praise Byun Woo Seok’s elegance in his latest image shoot for Elle magazine.

The actor wore and posed in diverse present-day clothes. His hair, which he grew out for the first time in his life, for his brand new project “Moonshine” (commonly known as “When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon”) was the highlight of the said shoot.

Set at some point when prohibition legal guidelines had been at their strongest during the era of Joseon, “Moonshine” is a drama which tells the love story between Kang Ro Seo (Girl’s Day’s Hyeri), a poor aristocrat who begins to illegally make alcohol to financially support her family, and Nam Young (Yoo Seung Ho), famously known as Joseon’s best inspector and is acknowledged for adhering to a completely principled life.

Byun Woo Seok will perform as Lee Pyo in “Moonshine”, a man described as tall, good-looking, and gifted at both martial and fine arts, however, he has no talent or patience for studying and/or reading books. Aside from being a crown prince who neglects his duties, he is also an alcoholic who often sneaks out of the palace to illegally drink.

During the photoshoot’s interview, Byun Woo Seok shared, “After I completed the drama ‘Record of Youth’ and finished filming for the movie ‘Soul Mate,’ I desired to begin on a brand new task quickly. While trying to find one, I learned of  ‘Moonshine,’ and was very happy with it.”

“Since I only started acting late, my very own personal experience was the one thing I could only rely on. Every project I choose to appear in is both a process and an opportunity. They’re all important so I can’t choose which is really valuable.,” he explains when asked where he gets his support in acting from.

Readers can find Byun Woo Seok’s full interview and pictorial in the December issue of Elle.
