Korean Summer Trends That You Would Be Seeing Left and Right

With the rising temperatures, here are the summer 2021 trends you should have in your wardrobe for the Korean aesthetic

It's difficult to say when the shift happened, but with each season, South Korean fashion becomes less conventional. We'll most certainly be watching the style this spring to see how Kpop and Kdrama apparel adapts to it.

Over the last few years, streetwear has exploded in popularity. 90s styles, especially in the sportswear and grungy worlds, have made a strong resurgence. Given that many Koreans like more traditional fits and quality items, many want to keep it quite understated.

Whatever you favor or feel most at ease in, we're confident you'll find anything to suit you. Here are three Korean trends for Summer 2021 that we think you'll like.

  • Florals

Nothing says hot summer like a lovely flowery dress, and Koreans like to adhere to their staples.

In general, Korean fashion is known for its ability to perfectly match their attire to the season.
The majority of people will choose brighter, pastel florals, but there is always the option of a darker print.
Besides, finding a good floral dress is uncomplicated, and there is a style for everyone.
So, ignore the naysayers and go blooming if that's your life's ambition.

  • Cigarette Pants

The Cigarette Pants is a unisex fashion trend that has been fairly popular in recent years, so we have a suspicion it will be even more popular this season.

The majority of folks would already have a pair in their wardrobe.
If your climate makes jeans too hot to wear, try flowing pants made of a more breathable fit to test out this Korean spring trend.
The boxy fit is very popular among Koreans.
It looks fantastic with a variety of tops, including halter straps, t-shirts, and relaxed tops.
You can also choose your shoes, as these typically mix nicely with stilettos, trainers, or even sandals, depending on the design of the garment.

  • Hanbok in the 21st Century

Traditional clothing, particularly the Korean Hanbok, has seen a rebirth.
In tv shows, stage shows, and appearances, several celebrities have been seen wearing updated versions.
Despite the fact that this item dates back two millennia, it still is donned on significant occasions in Korea, such as marriages, celebrating the new year, or Chuseok which is the Korean Thanksgiving.

Hanboks can be rather attractive and not at all stuffy garb that are rented out in Seoul's tourist spots.
The original design isn't particularly practical for everyday use, as it takes a long time to put on and can be very hefty and bulky.Contemporary hanbok, on the other hand, is easily adaptable to everyday situations and gives an exquisite touch to any ensemble.
