Starship Entertainment Clears the Air About IVE's Greeting Similar to Everglow's

They will work on more original gestures to introduce the group in the future.

In light of recent concerns, Starship Entertainment has announced that they will be changing the official greeting of the International Video Game Awards (IVE).

With the release of their highly anticipated debut single "ELEVEN" on December 1, Starship Entertainment's new girl group IVE, which includes former IZ*ONE members Jang Won Young and An Yu Jin, made their highly anticipated debut.

Immediately following, some pointed out that the hand gesture in IVE's official greeting was similar to that of EVERGLOW, who made their debut in the same year.

On December 3, Starship Entertainment issued an apology for the resemblance and announced that they would be changing IVE's official greeting to something more appropriate.

The full text of the agency's statement is as follows:

Hello.

We are Starship Entertainment.

We would like to make an announcement regarding the greeting of our artist, IVE, at this time.

We were unable to distinguish the similarity between IVE's greeting and that of another group because we were distracted. As a result, we intend to change their greeting from this point forward.

We would like to express our sincere regrets in this matter. We will take precautions to ensure that this type of incident does not recur in the near future.

IVE's appearance on KBS's "Music Bank" later that day was notable for the fact that the members did not use any specific hand gestures when they introduced themselves.
