Ahn Eun Jin and Red Velvet's Joy also appear in Kang Ye Won's upcoming drama "The One and Only," which Kang Ye Won discussed in detail.

 

"The One and Only" is a heartbreaking romantic drama about three terminally ill women who meet at a hospice and form an emotional bond. After deciding to take down one bad guy before they die, they set out to meet the most important person in their lives. However, while attempting to take down one bad guy, they end up meeting the most important person in their lives. Pyo In-Sook, played by Ahn Eun Jin, is a woman who has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness. She embarks on a journey with Sung Mi Do (Joy) and Kang Se Yeon (Kang Ye Won) in order to discover the true meaning of life.

 

Kang Ye Won described her character as "an ordinary housewife" who "anyone could easily run into." "Kang Se Yeon was practically forced to get married because her mother wanted it and because her friends were also getting married," she continued. She was forced to resign from her position and begin caring for her ill mother-in-law at her residence. She is a model citizen who faithfully performs her responsibilities without raising a voice in protest."

 

Then, one day, after learning that she does not have much time left to live, Kang Se Yeon undergoes a complete transformation. She comes to the realization that her "normal" life is anything but normal. Following her casting in the drama, Kang Ye Won explained why she chose to appear in it, stating, "I was mesmerized by the story of how Kang Se Yeon comes face-to-face with a true life, one that revolves around her, after suddenly being diagnosed with a terminal illness."

 

The actress meticulously prepared herself in order to convey these changes in her character. In the beginning, she portrays an ordinary housewife by donning large horn-rimmed glasses and wearing casual clothes that she can get away with. "I reduced the volume of my voice and shrunk my posture to demonstrate how Kang Se Yeon is tired of reality and has low self-esteem," she explained further. I spoke louder and stood up straighter, however, as she gradually expresses her opinions and regains her self-esteem, to depict how she transforms into someone who is on the lookout for herself."

 

Kang Ye Won also spoke about his collaborations with Ahn Eun Jin and Joy, among others. Her comments were as follows: "I met both of them for the first time through this drama, and they have such wonderful personalities that we were able to act comfortably from the first meeting, which was fantastic." We were able to get close quickly because we have worked on so many scenes together. Whenever we film, we have a lot of fun. It's always a pleasure to be here because the atmosphere is so upbeat."

 

Finally, Kang Ye Won expressed her hope that, through Kang Se Yeon, viewers will be able to examine their own lives and determine whether or not they are satisfied with them, as well as find a life that is fair to them.
