BTS has proven their popularity once again at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards after bagging all four Daesang awards for the third year in a row!

Despite their absence in MAMA 2021 due to schedule conflicts with their US promotions and quarantine upon return to South Korea, BTS still managed to leave everyone in awe after taking home a total of 9 trophies which includes 4 grand prizes. The groups Daesang awards are as follows: Song of the Year (Butter), Album of the Year (BE), Worldwide Icon of the Year, and Artist of the Year. The other awards that the group won are Best Group (Male), Best Dance Performance (Male Group), Best Music Video, TikTok Favorite Moment, and a Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10 were among the nine awards the group received.

"Thanks again to ARMY's support and love this year, we were recognized with a priceless prize at 2021 MAMA," BTS's Jin stated in their pre-recorded address. Thank you kindly."

"For all those who have struggled this year, we explored new approaches in music and worked hard to provide strength and comfort with them," RM said. Thank you for empathizing with and liking our passionate music."

"'Butter' and 'Permission to Dance' garnered a lot of attention this year," Jimin added. This award will be shared with all those who collaborated with us to create excellent music and performances. Most importantly, we believe this is an award awarded to both us and ARMY, who have showed such a strong interest in our music."

"We believe many individuals around the world faced difficult moments in 2021," J-Hope said, "but we hope we can all believe that hope is on the way, bit by little." We'll put in more effort so that our music will bring you calm and comfort during these trying times."

"We'll keep making songs and performances that everyone can love," V stated.

"It's already the end of the year," Suga stated. We wish you everybody a nice holiday season and a chance to forget about your regrets from the previous year."

"Once again, we thank 2021 MAMA and ARMY for the honor of this award," Jungkook said. There's only a few days left in 2021, so let's spend it together listening to BTS's music."
