Squid Game Bags Three Nominations in Golden Globes 2021

This is the first time a Korean Netflix drama gets nominations from the Golden Globes.

It was announced on December 13, local time, by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that the nominations for their annual Golden Globe Awards had been announced.

The nominees for the Golden Globes in 2022 were revealed at a live event hosted by Helen Hoehne, head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and Snoop Dogg. The Golden Globes are one of the most important award events in the United States, taking place just before the Academy Awards and honoring both television and cinema.

The Korean drama "Squid Game," which rose to become Netflix's most popular series early this year, has been nominated for three Golden Globes in 2022, including the best drama series. "Lupin," "The Morning Show," "Pose," and "Succession" are among the shows nominated for Best Television Series – Drama, as are "Lupin," "The Morning Show," "Pose," and "Succession."

For Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama, Lee Jung Jae is up against Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong in "Succession," Billy Porter and Omar Sy in "Pose," and Lee Jung Jae himself in "Lupin."

Meanwhile, Oh Yeong-su is nominated for Best Supporting Actor – Television, along with Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass for "The Morning Show," Kieran Culkin for "Succession," and Brett Goldstein for "Ted Lasso," among other roles.

The Golden Globes will be held on January 9, 2022, for the 79th time. Congratulations to the nominees!
