In front of a large audience in Los Angeles, Verivery successfully launched off their first US tour, where they were able to reconnect with their global followers for the first time since the pandemic breakout.
Taking place on December 5 at the Vermont Hollywood, a live performance venue in Los Angeles, the show marked the beginning of the band's first-ever stateside tour, which was titled "2021 VERIVERY 1ST TOUR IN US."
As the clock approached 7 p.m., concertgoers began to form a line that stretched from the entrance all the way to the end of the street, clearly excited to see the seven play. I arrived in Inglewood two days after BTS had finished their stunning four-day stint at SoFi Stadium, and it looked like the entire city was still humming with excitement.
Verivery opened their 15-song performance with "Lay Back," one of the band's most well-known songs and one of the band's most popular songs. The musical auditorium quickly became filled with ear-splitting screams and cries from fans who were singing along with the band in Korean, which filled the air. After relieving fans' thirst with "Thunder," the lads walked to the stage with microphones in hand to meet their long-awaited followers, who were referred to as "Verrer."
"We've been looking forward to this moment for a long time. "I assure you, we're going to make some amazing memories today," Dongheon sang with a booming voice.
"Because this is our first time touring the United States, we've put in a lot of work," Kangmin added.
The last time we performed in front of Verrer was far too long ago, and we want to give it our all this time." Please join me in having a good time," Gyehyeon concluded.
Despite being a little uncomfortable, the lads managed to give their statements easily and fluently in English, which was one of the most remarkable moments of the whole program. Even though several members admitted that they were still working on their English skills, their message of sincerity came through loud and clear.
"I'm overjoyed and delighted to meet Verrers and K-pop fans in a variety of places." said the singer. "Let's build some amazing moments," Minchan encouraged.
While the setlist was revealed at the request of the band's management, the remainder of the event went down without a hitch, bringing people of all ages, genders, and nationalities together. Verivery, who captivated the crowd with their coordinated choreography and sophisticated live performances, solidified their position as one of the most promising K-pop artists on the world stage.
"G.B.T.B." and "Get Away," two singles from the band Verivery, whose name is derived from a combination of the Latin word "veri" (truth) and the English word "very," have recently unlocked new achievements in their music career, topping Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart twice, in 2020 and this year, with "G.B.T.B." and "Get Away." They were the fourth K-pop boy group in history to achieve this feat.
We were shocked when we initially learned that we would be visiting Los Angeles. I couldn't believe it when they informed me I would be traveling here, as you know it is quite difficult to do so. "However, I'm overjoyed and grateful to be right here," they expressed gratitude.
The seven-piece band made their debut in January 2018 under the banner of Jellyfish Entertainment, which also includes bands such as Vixx and Gugudan, with the release of their first single "Ring Ring Ring."
Continued performances are scheduled in Tempe, Dallas, Houston, St. Louis, Fort Wayne, Cleveland, and Harrisburg until the tour comes to a close in New York City on November 30.
