2PM Members' Contracts' Status Addressed By JYP Entertainment

JYP Entertainment has released an announcement with regards to the status of the contracts of 2PM members after the group's maknae announces his decision to leave the agency

On December 15, Wednesday, 2PM's maknae (youngest member) Chansung has announced his decision to get married and also revealed his relationship with his non-celebrity fiancée who is currently pregnant. He also shared that his contract with his longtime agency JYP Enter

Following the news, JYP Entertainment has also released an announcement in relation to the 2PM members' contracts. The agency clarified that the remaining members of 2PM who are currently signed with the agency -- Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, and Junho -- will not be leaving the agency any time soon as their contract still has a considerable amount of time left. The only member of the group who belongs to a different agency is Taecyeon. The idol chose not to renew his individual contract with JYP Entertainment back in January 2018 but still promotes with the group as a member of 2PM.

“When the members renewed their contracts, every member ended up with a different contract period, and in Chansung’s case, his contract period has ended. The remaining members (Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Junho) still have a lot of time left on their contracts.," according to a representative of JYP Entertainment.
