Editor Involved in Irene's "Power Trip" Scandal Ready to Pursue Legal Actions vs. Malicious Comments

No settlements will be honored, and she meant war.

Kang Kook Hwa, the editor who disclosed Irene's attitude problem, posts a statement indicating she will sue the hostile commentators.

In late October of last year, there was a lot of uproar in an online community after a post from a photographic editor exposed a celebrity's nasty behavior was posted.

On October 20, last year, editor Kang Kook Hwa, who is well-known for her work as a visual director for numerous well-known photoshoots, released a lengthy message on her Instagram account. The editor described an event in which a celebrity verbally abused her in the post. Kang Kook Hwa told the narrative by referencing the famed 'nut rage' event of Korean Air's vice president, as well as other situations in which a person misused their position.

Because of the harshness of the verbal abuse, many netizens were interested in learning who this celebrity was. Soon, internet groups were flooded with discussions over this 'power abuse,' and many speculated as to who the celebrity in the message was. Netizens were even more surprised when Red Velvet's Irene was directly confirmed to be the celebrity in the viral tweet.

Irene took a break after the scandal to think on her conduct, but her admirers continued to assault the editor, writing vicious remarks on her social media. Two months after the event, the editor asked Red Velvet followers to stop pestering her on social media.

This dispute has shaken the internet community for more than a year. One netizen stated in an online forum that the editor provided an update on her Instagram story, stating that she is prepared to sue. The netizen believed that the editor was still being harassed by Irene's admirers and offered pity for the editor.

The editor stated in the online community post, "I'm not going to be able to let this go much further. I'm going to look everywhere, and I've already begun planning legal action for next week. I've got everything in order, and I've already met with the lawyer twice. I don't want filthy money, and there's no such thing as a settlement. I'll demonstrate what it means to bring dishonor to the family. I came to a halt just before the conclusion to silently protect myself, but I will not go until the end. Just wait for it."
