“The Silent Sea” Ranks 4th In Netflix Global Top 10

Congratulations to the cast and crew of "The Silent Sea."

Since its debut, Netflix Korea's new original series "The Silent Sea" has risen to number four on the streaming service's top ten list.

According to streaming analytics firm FlixPatrol on Monday, "The Silent Sea" scored seventh on Netflix's popular TV show rankings on Dec. 25, the day after its premiere, then soared to No. 4 on the global charts on Dec. 26.

Korea's first mystery sci-fi thriller, set in a future Earth suffering from severe water scarcity, follows a special squad tasked with uncovering the secrets of an abandoned research facility on the moon.

Bae Doo-na, Gong Yoo, Kim Sun-young, and Lee Joon, a former member of MBLAQ, all acted in the film, with Jung Woo-sung serving as an executive producer.

While the series has received a lot of attention and continues to climb the global rankings, it's unclear whether it will achieve the same level of success as the previous Netflix Korean-language series, "Squid Game."

Meanwhile, on December 26, the globally popular series "Squid Game" was placed sixth, and KBS 2TV's drama "The King's Affection" was ranked tenth.
