Jay Park Reportedly Working on Launching Own K-Pop Boy Group

What are your thoughts about this?

According to industry insiders on January 11, Jay Park, the founder of AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, is now working on establishing a new label with the goal of launching his own K-Pop boy group in the near future.

Furthermore, insiders have indicated that Jay Park is in the midst of forming his own K-Pop group and will be receiving a significant investment from Kakao Entertainment. "Jay Park is an artist currently active in various areas including as a singer, a producer, and much more," a Kakao Entertainment representative said vaguely. "Kakao Entertainment is seeking to diversify its business in the music distribution market through numerous partnership opportunities, and it's true that we are in the process of discussing possibilities for a business partnership with Jay Park, but the exact details have yet to be confirmed."

"Jay Park has the power to start a new wave in the K-Pop market with his own style, much as J.Y. Park found success with several idol groups created in his own color," another industry insider said.

As many of you are aware, Jay Park made his K-Pop debut in 2008 with the group 2PM before going solo and working as the CEO of Korean hiphop and RnB labels AOMG and H1GHR Music. He recently stepped down as both labels' CEO and is currently working on the launch of his own soju brand.

What do you think of a Jay Park-produced K-Pop group?
