Jay Park Talks About Collaboration With IU in 'The Manager' Guesting

He also talked about deleting his Instagram on television for the first time.

Jay Park made an appearance as a guest on MBC's "The Manager" on March 19.

Jun Hyun Moo questioned him about retirement and deleting his Instagram account throughout the broadcast. "You suddenly deleted your Instagram account, despite having over 5.8 million followers," he stated. There were many whispers regarding your impending retirement."

"This is the first time I've spoken about this on television," Jay Park revealed. It was a difficult choice. I opted [to remove the account] after putting up AOMG and resolving to leave on a positive note. Now is the time for me to create new memories."

Even users with over 10,000 Instagram followers get calls from advertisers, according to Yang Se Hyung, and can make tens of millions of won through paid adverts. He claimed, "You had a following count that might have gotten you hundreds of millions of won." "You had millions of followers and you deleted them," Jay Park responded. "I personally felt that I couldn't ascribe value to things like Instagram followers or likes."

"It's been 15 years since my debut," Jay Park continued. I wanted to make a new image and re-energize myself. With the attitude of beginning over, I established a new company as well as my own soju brand."

In this episode, Jay Park and his management visited the set of his new music video, "GANADARA," which features IU. "I was grateful that IU agreed to be a featured artist," he remarked. "It's a lovely tune."

"After listening to 'All I Wanna Do,' IU phoned me and said, 'I really appreciate your song,'" Jay Park stated when Yoo Byung Jae questioned who had recommended the idea first. 'Let's collaborate sometime.' I believe she was just being polite, but I overheard and responded, 'Really?' ’ and immediately started preparing.”

"I couldn't just go up and suggest that to her," Jay Park added. She told me her plan first, then I went to WOOGIE and said, 'Let's work with IU.'"
