Wanna One Rumored to Comeback for a Reunion

This has been widely anticipated by fans for years now.

A Wanna One reunion is in the works.

On November 3, JTBC News stated that Wanna One is preparing to rejoin ahead of the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards, citing multiple industry sources. "Talks of a reunion typically take place before of the award presentation," one insider claimed, "but this year's conversations are more positive and exuberant." According to another source, "Since I.O.I rejoined last May, Wanna One's reunion may be likely today."

CJ ENM said, "We are having great conversations regarding numerous possibilities, including the Mnet Asian Music Awards, a concert, and an album incorporating all of the Wanna One members."

Wanna One was a project group made up of the top eleven participants from Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 2." After the group broke in December 2018, the members returned to their previous groups (MINHYUN from NU'EST), debuted in new groups (AB6IX's Lee Dae Hwi and Park Woo Jin, and CIX's Bae Jin Young), or went solo (Ha Sung Woon, Yoon Ji Sung, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Jae Hwan, Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Lai Kuanlin). If the reunion takes place, it will be the first time Wanna One has performed as a group in over three years, since their last performance in January 2019.
