Park Sodam Will Always Be Thankful to Choi Wooshik

She shared lots of stories to the viewers too.

Park So Dam opened out about her experience auditioning for "Parasite" and going to school with "Squid Game" actor Anupam Tripathi on the most recent edition of "Radio Star."

As a guest on the MBC variety program "Parasite," which aired on November 24, the actress said that "Parasite" director Bong Joon Ho had planned to put her and Choi Woo Shik as siblings due of their physical likeness in the film.

"The director [Bong Joon Ho] told us he wanted to portray us as brother and sister," she recounted. "We agreed." "He invited us to come without any makeup on for our first meeting with him there, which was the first time we met him." So we actually did show there without even washing our hair, opting for a purely unprocessed appearance. In addition, the director [Bong Joon Ho] was overjoyed as soon as he saw the two of us."

"I honestly didn't realize how much we looked alike," Park So Dam continued. " "I was thinking to myself, 'Do I truly look like [Choi Woo Shik]?' But it wasn't until later that I saw the likeness in a photo of us together."

Later, she expressed gratitude by saying, "I owe a debt of gratitude to [Choi Woo Shik] for the rest of my life, because he was the one who cast me first in the film." I was only cast in the film because I resembled him in appearance. As a result, it is because of him that I was cast in the role."

After that, host Ahn Young Mi inquired as to whether Park So Dam's real-life younger brother resembled Choi Woo Shik, to which the actress said affirmatively, "Yes." He has a similar energy. All of the people in our family have the same eyes."

At another point in the program, Park So Dam revealed that she had gone to college with Anupam Tripathi, who appeared in the film "Squid Game."

She said that despite the fact that he was older than her, Anupam Tripathi had been one year below Park So Dam in school, and as a result, he constantly addressed her as "sunbae" (senior).

As for his demeanor, Park So Dam described him as follows: "He's really full of cheery energy and is quite cute." At fact, he was described as "a cheerful virus" [someone who spreads contagious energy] even while we were in school.

When he calls me "sunbae," I would ask him, "Why are you calling me that?" 'Oppa, please don't refer to me as such!' "But, no, you're my sunbae, therefore you'll always be known as "sunbae" to me,' he'd remark. In addition to being a very kind guy, he exudes a lot of good energy. His true name is "happy virus," and he truly is one."

In addition to being a guest on the show that day, veteran actress Kim Young Ok, who portrayed Lee Jung Jae's mother in "Squid Game," also shared her thoughts, saying, "He did such an excellent job [in our drama]." "He was definitely a standout."
