Im not sure to what extent this calms my skin, but it does what I want it to do. It hydrates my skin, gets rid of dead skin cells, unclogs my pores, and takes away sebum. I use this in the morning after I washed my face with warm water and at night after I washed my face with a foam cleanser. I dont wear makeup so I dont use cleansing oil or a cleansing balm, but this pad substitutes as a deep cleanser as well as a good toner.

I love how soothing it is. I purchased it cause I was looking for a toner pad I could pair with retinoids and so far, this works. Didn't found any irritations when pairing. Love the feeling, I would just like pads to be bigger. Consider that this is a refill and not two tubes, I don't have a problem with that but probably someone's expecting two tubes.

I'm not incredibly impressed with these. I have some experience with other toner pads and I think I prefer the mediheal ones to these. I can understand the hype behind these, they're packed with essence, are a decent option for mini masking, and aren't too abrasive if you want to slough off some dead skin cells. I'm just not blown away by the essence. The size is also a small complaint. They're much smaller than the ones I'm used to and I find that I have to use more of them to cover my face for mini masking. The cotton rounds are also a little on the thicker side, I prefer a thinner pad because I find they adhere to the skin better. (Again Mediheal does this with their huge toner pads in a pack of 100 AND they have refills.) I don't hate these, they get the job done absolutely and did leave my skin feeling softer and a bit calmed down, but I really think they could be improved on. I don't think I'll be repurchasing, however.

Now I know why these are so popular. Great for acne prone skin. Whenever I feel a pimple starting to appear or see one I put a pad on it for at least an hour or overnight and it instantly disappears.

It's easy to use because the essence feels fresh on the skin rather than sticky, and it feels like it's just soaked in essence. It's a thin, slim pad, and it's smaller than other brands. It's easy to put on when drying hair in the morning, and since the essence doesn't overflow, it just absorbs it, so it's not something like that you can't take it off because it's too expensive, so I think it's better to use in the morning.
