KWAVE CATEGORIES 09

arrival is the start

Not the arrival.The start.

Receiving, inspection, storage, and outbound at the LA warehouse.

CORE

Three things at the core of the warehouse.

  • Count and damage report at receiving

Arriving cargo is counted, and damage is reported with photos.

  • Live inventory

Quantities scanned and confirmed become stock right away, managed with expiry alerts, FEFO picking suggestions, and blind counts.

  • Order outbound

When an order comes in, it is picked and packed from stored stock and the shipment is confirmed.

WMS PROCESS

From receiving to outbound, in five steps.

  1. ASN (expected receipt)

The receiving plan is registered before arrival.

  2. Receiving and inspection

Quantity, lot, and expiry are checked and reported.

  3. Storage and inventory

    Managed as live inventory.

  4. Orders in

Orders from sales channels come into the warehouse.

  5. Outbound and delivery

It goes to the customer by delivery within the US.

BY ROLE

Eight roles, one system.Same cargo, a different job for every role.

Each role owns a leg, and the next one picks up from the record the last one left. Pick another role to see, right here, what it does on KWAVE, step by step.

How it works

  1. Receive and inspect

An expected receipt (ASN) is created as soon as warehouse-bound cargo is released from customs. Scan quantity, lot, and expiry, and log damage, shortages, or overages as exceptions with photos; the goods' owner decides what happens next.

  2. Put away by location

Print barcode labels and see which shelf holds what with a single scan.

  3. Manage inventory

Only what the warehouse counts becomes stock. Use expiry alerts, first-expired-first-out (FEFO) picking suggestions, and blind cycle counts.

  4. Pick, pack, and ship

Pick and pack each order and confirm the shipment. Tracking numbers are written back to Shopify store orders automatically.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What are the storage fees?

Under each warehouse's rate table, receiving and outbound are billed per task and storage monthly, and you pay by bank transfer to the account on the invoice.

What is checked at inspection?

Quantity, damage, lot, and expiry are checked and reported with photos.

How fast is outbound?

When an order comes in, staff pick and pack it from stored stock and confirm the shipment. Tracking numbers are written back to Shopify store orders automatically.

Do floor staff need KWAVE accounts?

No. Staff sign in with a name and PIN, with no platform account, and work across ten task screens. Every confirmed task records who did it.

How do we receive goods that arrive with no paperwork?

The warehouse creates a manual inbound. A registered consignor is still required, and stock is created only for the quantity scanned and confirmed.

Do partner warehouses log in to Kwave WMS?

No. Partner warehouses don't log in; a KWAVE manager uploads their stock files.
